My client, a FORTUNE Global 500, is looking for a Data Engineer/Scientist who is open to learn new concept and willing to learn.
Job description:
The role will be expected to be highly technical, involved intensively in data processing, feature generation to reflect business operations and modelling to capture the interaction between different factors. For existing processes, upgrade them to scalable versions, and developing new processes to prepare data for the modelling. This role will also be involved in the modelling process and supporting the model deployment in Azure environment.
Key accountabilities:
- Processes (Tools) development according to the solution requirement
- Data pipeline from data lake in Azure and other environment to data layer supporting the modelling + map visual
- Creating models to understand the interaction between different factors and the outcome
Additional accountability based on skills:
- Create map based visualization framework within the context of model deployment
- Being able to retrieve key information systematically from the map(any), major road, polygons for regions etc.
- Map operations such as mapping of information on to map based on different geo-location objects
- Being able to create operational map by adding data layers to google map base in a systematic and scalable way
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a relevant technical field with at least 2 years of experience is preferred
- GIS, google map api related experience is an advantage
- General open API experiences is an advantage
- Proficiency in Python, Spark (good to have) Sklearn or other modelling library, standard process for data preparing for modelling. Good understanding towards basic assumptions for models and interpreting model results
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with all level of staffs
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
