You will overhaul our existing data ingestion process and ETL pipelines using reliable technologies and
industry best practices. You will take ownership of our enterprise data warehouse, secure sensitive
data in transit and at rest, and ensure access to data is granular and auditable.
What you'll work on:

  • Report directly to the CISO
  • Grow and manage a distributed global team
  • Coach and mentor entry-level and mid-level data engineers
  • Take a hands-on role in improving our existing AWS data infrastructure
  • Collaborate with executives and key stakeholders across the organization
  • Enable product owners to make informed strategic business decisions
  • Create the foundation upon which advanced data science solutions will be built
  • Be empowered to drive new initiatives and make a real impact

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Experience managing a global distributed team of engineers
  • Expertise with several relevant AWS services, such as Aurora, Athena, RedShift, S3, Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, CDK, CloudFormation, and Cloudwatch
  • Experience programming and debugging in Java, Scala, or Python
  • Solid SQL and relational database skills
  • Firm grasp on data security principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with Git, Linux, and Docker
