- Define and model mechanical and thermal requirements for LED systems including various required simulation studies
- Build prototype of various design for different products and compare with simulation results
- Lead the testing activity and evaluate the technical interdependency including relevant customer-like application studies.
- Develop and manage various reliability test methodologies to ensure product life time
- Collaborate and manage vendor and development partner to build custom solutions to enhance performance
- Define and supervise inspection gates and method for process, material and packaging
- Design and streamline assembly steps and prepare written work instructions for new processes
- Manage the test laboratory with various equipment and activities
- Coordinate various activities with internal and external stakeholders related to regional business
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field
- Working knowledge in Solidworks including heat/flow simulation and other relevant add-ons
- Experience with setup and perform the testing of Electrical, Mechanical and Thermal systems
- Hands-on working experience on designing mechanical / thermal systems
- Working experience of mechanical assembly technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with Project Management and stage gate principles
- Experience with vendor management and tool selection
