Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test a variety of GC (Gas Chromatography system) mechanical and electronic sub-assembly and final assemblies for production and support parts
- Build a variety of delicate and precision mechanical assemblies
- Support the packing of the GC
- Manage non-conforming parts, repair and troubleshoot sub-assembly and electronic boards
- Work closely with engineering to develop and improve assembly/test jigs, test methodology to improve cycle time and yield of sub-assemblies through value stream mapping
- Support build activities (NPI) of next generation gas chromatography systems
- Perform Agile/SAP transactions as part of manufacturing process (training will be provided)
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Ideally 3 years of working experience as technicians for complex instruments or integrated systems with 5+ years working experience preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Possess strong engineering and analytical skills and experience in FMEA and problem solving
- Strong team player, hands-on person
- Passionate about overcoming tough engineering challenges
- Experience in LC/GC as a field repair technician will be added advantage.
