Responsibilities

The job holder is responsible to evaluate, design and deliver the most appropriate architectures.

• Provide technical consultancy in requirement analysis to design and implementation
• Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT applications
• Recommend and maintain control over the architecture of a multi-tier application in a complex heterogeneous environment
• Ensure high performance, scalability, reusability and integrity of application
• Review the Technical Design Specialisation
• Identify and mitigate potential risk and security threats
• Ensure best architectural designs, standards and practices are applied in the project
• Trouble-shoot technical problems faced by the project team

Requirements

• Minimally 8 years of experience in software design & development with at least 4 years in application architecture and technical architecture design
• Good understanding and experience in Java/J2EE application design, development and implementation with integration to other platforms, SOA architecture, security, best practices and knowledge of emerging trends
• Good experience in one or more of the followings:
• Java application servers such as Websphere, Weblogic
• Design and implementation of integration technologies like Web Services (JAX-WS, JAX-RS) and Messaging Queue
• Framework and tools such as Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Angular
• Prior experience in modernizing Mainframe to Java would be an added advantage
• Certifications in TOGAF or Java would be preferred
• Seniority of appointment will commensurate with relevant work experience
