Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-sales
- Support sales in sizing customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions eg. based on vessel size and data usage requirements to pitch the right satellite solutions such as Inmarsat/Iridium.
- Support design of IT networks(LAN setup, switches and routers settings, firewall settings etc) onboard vessels to connect to the satellite solutions recommended.
- Support staging of customers' systems and equipment and configuration settings and commissioning of services.
Post-sales
- 24x7 technical support.
- Resolution of customer's fault reporting.
- Coordinate with principal satellite network partners such as Blue-C Mobile, KVH, Thuraya etc to resolve connectivity issues
- Manage fault ticketing system to log and track timely resolution of customer-reported issues.
- Support customer's change requests for systems settings eg firewall settings, top-ups of pre-paid value etc.
- Create and update of the technical knowledge database to improve resolution turnaround time
Requirements:
- Diploma in IT or Electronics Communications, or any related field.
- Able to be on shift duties.
- Good understanding of IP, Networking and Firewall.
- CCNA is a bonus
- Knowledge of satellite technology will be a plus
