Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-sales

• Support sales in sizing customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions eg. based on vessel size and data usage requirements to pitch the right satellite solutions such as Inmarsat/Iridium.
• Support design of IT networks(LAN setup, switches and routers settings, firewall settings etc) onboard vessels to connect to the satellite solutions recommended.
• Support staging of customers' systems and equipment and configuration settings and commissioning of services.

Post-sales

• 24x7 technical support.
• Resolution of customer's fault reporting.
• Coordinate with principal satellite network partners such as Blue-C Mobile, KVH, Thuraya etc to resolve connectivity issues
• Manage fault ticketing system to log and track timely resolution of customer-reported issues.
• Support customer's change requests for systems settings eg firewall settings, top-ups of pre-paid value etc.
• Create and update of the technical knowledge database to improve resolution turnaround time

Requirements:

• Diploma in IT or Electronics Communications, or any related field.
• Able to be on shift duties.
• Good understanding of IP, Networking and Firewall.
• CCNA is a bonus
• Knowledge of satellite technology will be a plus
