  • Provide/coordinate, monitor and evaluate risk-based occupational health programs and services to meet entity, segment, OMS and regulatory health objectives.
  • Enable line capability in the identification of health risks and the development and delivery of health facilities, competent staff, health programmes and systems to minimize the impact of risk. Facilitate project health risk assessment, as required
  • Develop OH procedures, policies and training for, or requested by the business and interface with the Occupational Physician where appropriate.
  • Collate and disseminate management information on the health status of the workforce and utilization of services.
  • Support the business in the management of fitness for work/task through health assessments and health risk management programs (including health surveillance, alcohol & drug, fatigue management, travel health, infection control and disease prevention, ergonomic, emergency medical response, etc).
  • Provide health expertise to functional groups (HR, Legal, Procurement), HSSE, Emergency Response and Leadership as required.
  • Provide advice to local Singapore and expatriate staff on company medical and dental policies and processes. Facilitate pre-assignment check for expatriate movement.
  • Collate and disseminate management information on the health status of the workforce and utilization of services.
  • Providing travel health advice to business travellers, including vaccinations recommended for business travel. Issue personal travel health kits for travellers to remote locations and provide necessary referrals to the company panel doctor for vaccination up-dates and advice.
  • Coordinate the office ergonomics programme, monitor the compliance and mitigate the risk through close work with external vendor and feedback to management on area for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/degree in nursing (eligible for registration in Singapore) with at least 5 years post-graduate experience.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in occupational health practice and previous experience working in a complex organisational environment would be highly regarded.
  • Has at least two years of experience working as a nurse in occupational health
  • Certificate or experience in workplace ergonomics program is preferred.
  • Experience in first-aid provision is essential and qualifications as a first-aid trainer would be an advantage.
  • Should be enthusiastic, energetic and possess good communication skills together with demonstrated ability to network effectively within and outside the organisation.
  • Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently with remote supervision.
  • Proficiency in common PC based office software is required and ability to update medical information on internal websites.
  • Occasional travel within to neighbouring countries may be required
