• Responsible for managing overall operation activities of the plant in Jurong Island Singapore, the candidate will have a solid leadership and problem solving capabilities as well as strong cGMP API knowledge and experiences in achieving compliance audits.
• Provide strong leadership to the organization through effective interpersonal skill
• Being hands-on in the day-to-day operation and able to write documentations (SOP, Work instructions, Deviation, CAPA…etc.)
• Continuous training in bringing operation teams to effective GMP mindset and stricter compliance to processes and documentations
• Responsible of all operation KPI's. Able to improve them with operational excellence (yield optimization, Six sigma, etc.), make recommendations in order to achieve management financial objectives.
• Management of the production, packaging, maintenance teams to ensure the production to be in line with quality, safety and standard costing.
• Identify operation inefficiencies and set up clear action plans
• Maintain weekly meeting with each department and follow up on action plans, issues and initiatives
• Maintain on monthly basis the integrity of reporting system including SAP
• Maintain declarations of production, stock and consumable.
• Ensure purchase of necessary raw material and other operational requests to secure a continuous production…etc.
• Maintain cross exchanges with other Group plants colleagues and continue levering best practices.
• Liaise with Supply Chain/ Purchasing teams to implement actions for cost reduction
• Liaise with the Quality department to ensure that product is consistently manufactured according to quality standards and specifications and documentations/ processes are in line QMS
• Work hand-in-hand with quality Manager to ensure that respective teams work in the same direction and effectively.
• Ensure that deviations, CAPAs, batch releases are completed in a timely manner
• Implement and follow-up agreements with suppliers and internal/external partners related to plant operations.
• Deploy necessary support to operation teams on designs, PIDs, equipment, processes, anticipations…etc.
• Ensure all plant legal, regulatory documents are compliant and complete. Monitor compliance with local regulations.
• Setup of EHS and operational excellence standards.
• Ensure with the safety team that the operations and processes are compliant with environment, health and safety standards.
• Continue ensuring good staff behavior in all premise areas
• Chairman for the Plant Safety and Health Committee
• Responsible with the General Manager and Finance for:
• Annual budget and forecasting cycles : Human resources needs, Opex and capex
• Investments and cost centers responsibility
• In charge of coordinate the cGMP API's several project streams
• Train operation staffs in progressively coming to effective cGMP mindset and process
• 5-10 years relevant Plant Management experience from API & excipients industries in a cGMP environment.
• Management of Operations and/or Production Unit in Chemical and/or Pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong GMP
• Green field experience would be a plus.
