This position is responsible for managing and developing production automation control systems, working with robotics and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies and for monitoring/maintaining automation equipment, analysing data on automation equipment, and responding to current and new model production.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Responsible for production control systems, working with PLCs or PC-based controllers
• Interface with other control/management systems, such as MES, AGV/AMR fleet management system, smart logistics system
• Manage manufacturing processes, including process optimisation and cycle time reduction
• Prepare for New Product Introduction, including installation and commissioning
• Conduct simulation and offline testing for new model/new parts (CPS production pre-verification)
• Improve existing and/or develop new automation manufacturing techniques, including vision systems and robotic grippers
• Work with maintenance team to devise Hardware / Software maintenance plan
• Utilise monitoring systems to measure and track production status in real time
• Collaborate with other teams to analyse production data, applying AI and machine learning to devise improvement plans

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines
• 3 to 5 years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens TIA portal)
• Experience in integrating with automation equipment such as servo drives (Siemens)
• Experience in pnematic systems, such as solenoid/electronic valves and cylinders (SMC, Festo)
• Basic understanding of industrial and collaborative robots (Kawasaki, Doosan, KUKA, UR)
• Basic understading of vision systems (2D and 3D)
• Experience in manufacturing processes and data analysis for automation manufacturing equipment
• Technical skills in examining manufacturing technique and conducting Digital Process Analysis using AutoCad, CATIA
• Technical skills in developing and applying automation manufacturing technique by using PLC, robot, vision, automation design, software program
• Understanding in manufacturing process optimization
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
