As technical leader of the function responsible for delivering business value through business process automation, the role is critical for the continued growth and maintenance of process automation across the group, along with maintaining the stability of legacy processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain a standards to ensure best practices for both documentation, development, testing and the system development lifecycle
• Interpret business requirements and design well architected solutions for automation from end to end
• Collaborate with the Business Process Analysts on feasibility and optimisation of processes
• Resource management and capacity planning for project and service delivery, which includes work allocation, recruitment and performance management for team members
• Work directly with the broader technology group to understand application dependencies and select the right technology for each use case
• Manage the Application Portfolio for Automation, including upgrades
• Control and monitor and report the deployment of licenses, bots and infrastructure to ensure costs are optimised
• Managing support resources responsible for a queue of automation platform support issues, in line with Service Level Agreements, including coordination of after-hours support (on-call escalation)
• Engage with vendors, user groups and industry to understand market trends and evolution of technology and make recommendations on how this could be applied to the benefit of the organisation

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor degree in information systems or related field
• An advanced understanding of RPA tools, preferably Automation Anywhere
• An advanced understanding of document transformation/OCR tools, preferably Kofax
• Experience automating SAP processes is highly desired
• A broad understanding of IT, and the ability to select the right technology for each use case
• Proficiency architecting and developing automation solutions end to end
• Hands on experience in general technology disciplines including VB/Java Scripting, XML, API and SQL Server
• Certification in Automation Anywhere, Kofax Total Agility 7+, Capture and KTM is good to have.
• Experience installing, upgrading and configuring of KTA, Kofax & Automation Anywhere is desired
• Experience delivering services in line with ITIL methodology
