SENIOR SYSTEM ENGINEER (LINUX, PERMANENT ROLE)
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining Ubuntu servers and desktops, both on premise and AWS.
- Automating and refining systems processes to improve reliability and repeatability
- Building and maintaining scalable networked file storage systems
- Building and maintaining backup and archival solutions
- Evaluating, testing and deploying relevant Linux software
- Enhancing overall system performance, usability and maintainability
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer or Engineering
- 4-7 years of experience as System Engineer or System Administrator for Linux (Rhel/Ubuntu)
- Excellent debugging, configuration and problem solving skills.
- Experience administering large numbers of Ubuntu servers and desktops
- Experience with automation: scripting, testing and documentation of processes
- Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM/Proxmox/VMware)
