As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

• Install a new solution on the hosted platform
• Rollout an upgrade or patch to the SWIFT solutions
• Acquire tools to facilitate the analysis of operational data
• Monitor and analyse software maintenance activities
• Develop software transition plans
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and vendors to resolve problems
• Do software real-time troubleshooting
• Investigate and analyse a technical production issue

Requirements:

• Having a solid IT experience: applications support, enhancement and integration
• Windows and Linux basic server administration
• Powershell and Unix scripting
• Relational databases (basic knowledge of SQL scripting and database administration)
• Networking concepts (TCP\IP, routing, switching, VLANs, Firewalls)
• Team work and collaboration
