- Incumbent is accountable to ensuring that all applicable HSSE legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted.
- Facilitate to plan, implement, and monitor and review the protective and preventative measures that required or need to comply, and manage occupational health problems, environmental impact, accidents and injuries.
- Manager, HSSE reports functionally to the functional head of the Company's HSSE Department.
- Administer HSSE policy and advise the site/project manager on the SHE act's rules and regulations, the subsidiary and any other legislation and client's requirements pertaining to HSSE standards and practice requirements
- on preventing injury to personnel, damage to plant and machinery.
- Coordinates HSSE management system, promote and develop HSSE culture, measure and monitor workplace HSSE performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Leads HSSE programs and department to promote HSSE programmes and wellbeing as one of the Company's core values.
- Develops specialized HSSE education and training materials. Conduct specific HSSE training programs to communicate hazard control information to all level of employees.
- Ensures compliance to WSH Act, applicable local legislations and legal requirements and OHSAS 18001: 2007, ISO 14001:2004 standards.
- Leads internal HSSE audits, risk management system and non-conformances prevention and corrective action/compliances.
- Conducts HSSE site inspections and incident/accident investigations and recommend comprehensive corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
- Implements and maintains comprehensive Accident, Emergency Response and Injury Management programs.
- Ensures that Company's HSSE KPI's, goals, objectives and targets are met by implementing effective HSSE programmes.
- Develops and implements the site/project HSSE Action Plan and review the performances quarterly with recommendation for continuous improvement.
- Compiles, analyses and interprets the site/project monthly HSSE KPI's statistical data with comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
- Ensures the implementation of HSSE filing system accordance to OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.
- Grooms subordinate skill and knowledge to elevate their competency and carrier advancement.
- Leads, advices and motivates the HSSE team to attain the HSSE objectives and targets with good leadership skill.
- Actively participates and support Cooperate and Clients' HSSE programmes and meetings.
- Certificate in Safety Coordinator Training Course/ Advanced Certificate in WSH/ Certificate in Safety Officer Training Course/ Specialist Diploma in WSH.
- Diploma/ Degree qualifications.
- At least 8 years and above experience managing Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Environmental in Oil/ Petrochemical industry and experience working in Projects and Plant Shutdowns/
