- Responsible for overall QHSSE activities and policies
- Responsible for directing and managing the QHSSE team, setting policies in place and ensuring that 100% compliance is achieved
- Main lead for the International Safety Management (ISM) for the Group's vessels
- Provides leadership, planning and overall management of the QHSSE department
- Responsible for all QHSSE activities
- Ensures an effective system is in place for smooth operation and the safety of all while on board the vessels
- Responsible for the production of all reports related to non-conformances, accidents, incidents and near misses
- In charge of the Group's safety audit
- Ensures Corrective Action Plans are being carried out promptly
- Responsible for ensuring that safety systems on-board, such as safety committees, inspections/audits are in place to ensure that there are no accidents
- Develops all QHSSE personnel within the Group to the best of their ability
- Organizes the QHSSE team to work with other departments as appropriate such as providing input into large and complex bids
- Personally involves in all aspects of DSV activities, especially those related to QHSSE
- Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement within the department on an individual and departmental basis
- Minimum 15 years of related working experience in the management of safety within the maritime industry
- Minimum Degree in Engineering or equivalent trade certificate
- Minimum COC 2
- Knowledge in the various regulatory processes and systems in QHSE management such as the ISO standards and ISM code
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Travel overseas on short notice
